Paying More Attention

I just have to follow up on my last blog, which was centered around my 11-year-old son Jeremiah. The very next day after I posted the blog, I was laying on the couch and my son came running in the house, crying, eyes blood shoot red, wet and sweaty and he just fell in my lap. I never seen my son in that manner, he couldn't keep his words together as he told me his girlfriend has a crush on another boy. Jeremiah was heartbroken, the girl is not only our neighbor of at least 3 years, they go to school together. This was scenario is a test to what i questioned in my last blog! I was prepared. In that moment I listened and held him tight, I did mention a person can like 2 people at the same time, then he expressed he didn't want to go to school the next day, and I was okay with that. On to the next morning- I said to Jeremiah, "You only get one day to be sad and angry; this is the one day. Today we're going to do what makes you happy." I spent the whole day pouring into my son, talking about dating and cheating lol making him repeat some of the things i said, and letting him know to keep pushing forward.

My conclusion: You'll get the answer if you're conscious enough #SelfAwareness
